Most of the time, something will make me think of GW or remind me - even if i dont play it (as im currently not) i'll still log in for the odd 5 mins to check my friends list, or i'll be talking about it on the forums (like now) or on IRC..

the stop playing GW and see if you still think about it doesn't quite decide whether you're an addict or not, I remember i used to play Bomberman Online and would often think of tactics while away from the game. even now, i think about what my monk should do to reset that farming code >.>;;;

i think it'd be more accurate to say if you are unable to find something else to do apart from play GW then you are addicted.

but the /age thing isn't very accurate for calculating averages, since my average comes to almost 3 hours per day, but doesn't take note of the fact that at one point i could only play once every 2 weeks for about 4 months (and i know i spend more than 3 hours a day on GW >.>)

I like playing Guild Wars, and there aren't many alternatives for me. If I got some other hobby that was more fun then Guild Wars, I'd quit immidiatly, and start doing that, but I just haven't found anything yet, so I just continue playing Guild Wars.

So unless you feel addicted, you're not.
Alcoholics dont think they are addicted.

lol, yeah you're addicted...

But that's okay, as long as you go out and do other things like I do, then you're not an emo.

I personally don't have a tv because I think it's retarded, so in my spare time I play games on my computer. I'm not a nerd, but that's all I have aside from reading all of stephen kings books for the fiftieth time. (My favorite to this day is still cujo, the first one I read ^^)

Just try to go out with family, or your girlfriend, or try to get a girlfriend, and just don't act like a nerd.

I'm addicted too, 15 months and 1500 hours. Course that's nothing to what you have o.O

That would be more than a double of me.
I only got 2243 hours in 14 months. More than 10 hours a day is just too much....

Well look at this way, take your age, multiply it by 365.25, then divide the nuumber of days you've played this game( i think it was like 207 or something) by that number you previously got, multiply by 100, and you have the percent of your life you have spent playing guild wars. I remember I did it and I got around.4%, but that really creeped me out. Then again I'm only 16, but if you're my age, you've spent 3.5% of your life on guild wars. That doesn't seem like much but take into consideration sleep, school, and other stuff like eating, and your free time seems to revolve around guild wars, which imo, doesn't seem all that fun to waste on it anyway. Sometimes I get on GW and I think, what's the point of farming anyway? I've got all the weapons and armor(except for FOW) I need. Farming isn't that fun, and once I do get FOW armor what am I going to do then?

i've played over 16 months with only 950~ hours logged. you play too much.

edit: well, i havent exactly played all those months. been inactive for maybe a total of 5-6 months.

950 hours/ 16 months = 2h/day
950 hours/ 10 months = ~3 h/day

and i thought i played too much.

Your level of addiction depends on the answer to the following questions, so choose wisely.

Does it smell somewhat rotten in your house?
Did you actually talk to your mom during the last seven days, or are you still waiting for her to answer via PM?
Do your neighbors know you're in there?
Did ANet try to actively log you off, in an attempt to avoid a punitive damage law suit for selling addictive substances?
and most important, which goals does one seek in GW, after THAT many hours?

I'm looking forward to the answers, so that the mysteries of addictions are once more revealed.

P.S. If you answered "Yes" on question 1 and the second part of question two, then remember: First call Fox News, then 911. You'll notice the difference when signing your book contract.

you actually sounds pathetic imo:

Its like you are saying: "Look at me look at me I am addicted and I am proud at it, tell me that I am addicted so I can continue playing..."

if ppl play more then 3 hours on a video game a day (I also play on special events more then 3 hours, but thats not what I mean, I mean every day), I call it pathetic, but I don't care, as long as you enjoy your life.

Yes, lets all poke fun at her addiction! None of you are addicted at all! Bleh, I have to come to the rescue of my fellow crack-hores (creative spelling ftw)

5983 hours logged and counting... (most of which was spent on my mesmer spamming for a group in missions >_<)

If you think you're addicted, test yourself. Go 3+ days without GW or maybe no comp at all. If you go to school and hang out with friends etc. then no you're not addicted but missing school to play GW or not eating then yes you've got some problems there.
